The Court of Justice of the EU calls on Spain to change the canon digital

The Court ruled EU (Case, PDF) against the Spanish digital fee levied on manufacturers of CDs, DVDs, MP3 and other playback equipment "indiscriminately", but admitted that may be charged an extra private users.

The Spanish law of intellectual property, which has expanded its field since 2003 and levying taxes on the reproduction apparatus and instruments that can be used to make copies, does not respect the concept of "fair compensation" defined in a 2001 European directive on the rights copyright or the "right balance between the persons concerned", particularly to impose levies on manufacturers and profesionals purchasers.

El fin de las tarifas planas de datos

Las tarifas planas de datos en telefonía móvil podrían tener los días contados. En los mercados maduros, el 55% de los encuestados en el sondeo apuestan escalonar los precios, basando la tarifación en el consumo, y el 47% cree que los planes ilimitados no ayudan demasiado a incrementar los ingresos de las compañías telefónicas. En Estados Unidos, AT&T ya se ha puesto manos a la obra para aligerar sus redes ofreciendo dos tarifas, una de 25 dólares al mes por 2 Gb de datos y otra de 15 dólares por 200 MB.
